Dear Glenn: An interior fireplace in my 1952 vintage home shows signs of some liquid coming down the brick and slightly lightening the brick color. There also are white splotches.

Since there will be a basic charge for even getting out to your location, ask him to do an energy scan on the house. The scan will show where you need insulation and where there is heat loss. |
